I wish i had the best news for you. 

I know that in the coming months things will be hard. 

Mama and daddy will be moving into different houses, and we wont be a family under one roof anymore. 

but i promise you this: 

we will forever be a family. 

Daddy is a wonderful daddy. 

I am the best mama that I can be. 

we love each other and we love you. 

When youre older I will tell you things about Love that I have learned along the way. 

For now I will just reassure you every day that you are loved and that I love Daddy very much even if we arent living together. 

I started my new job at the Shelter and I am so excited. 

it is wonderful to be in a place that does so much good for the community and saves lives. 

I am excited to see where it goes. 

I have my first business trip in a few months and I am dreading not seeing you guys for a week. 

but it will be okay and we will forever be strong. you will get great time with Daddy. 

I promise you that I will always act out of Love for you and your wellbeing and not let my personal feelings of hurt or pain get in the way of giving you the best life possible. 

I am so in love with both of you. and this life we 4 have in each other will be a great one.

you just went to bed for the last time as a 5 year old. 

im unbelievably proud of you. 

you are tender and loving, caring and smart. 

you LOVE your sister fiercely. 

you always make sure she has enough in her life. 

you love your mom and dad. 

you love school. 

you are smart, so smart. 

you love coffee dates and hey strangers and youre the best artist i know. 

you are, absolutely, my favorite boy in this whole world. 

youre my soul mate, through and through. and though 5 had its ups and downs in our relationship as you navigated emotions, im always here for you. i will never ever leave you or turn my back on you. i am your mother, and every single day of this 6 years, 39 weeks and 6 days, i have been SO grateful that you were give to me, entrusted to me. youre my beautiful boy. 

always follow your dreams. always listen to your heart, really listen. sometimes your mind will try and interrupt, but really listen. 

eat healthy. dont do drugs. take care of others and yourself. 

know what real Love is and only give that to others and accept it for yourself. 

always love your mommy and daddy and know you can tell us any and everything. 

this family we have is beautiful, even with its imperfections. 

know that we are a family forever. i love you. daddy loves you. maya narae loves you and you are the best thing we could have.
