We saw a firetruck parked by mahmees car so we went to check it out. I explained that sometimes places get big fires and these big trucks have big hoses to put the fires out. The people who do that for us are wonderful volunteers who want to protect others. How blessed we are to have them! For some reason you wouldn't turn around. You're so silly. I love you!

You went to Hoopla with daddy yesterday and he helped you dunk! It was precious! A man from the statesman journal newspaper asked daddy if he could take your picture. He said yes and you guys made the front page! It was so fun to see my boy, future basketball player, already getting recognition for your skills :) love you baby.

Today I showed you this picture of the new baby. You asked "that's the baby? In your tummy? That's a picture of your tummy?" "Yes jude." We said. "That's cool. That's really really cool. That's sooo cool." Over and over. I love you baby. So smart. Such a loving brother.

Every day..there's something new I love about you. Sometimes 8 new things. Today...its your footsies. :)

You were cuddling with me when you said "mahmee, can I have my tiny bed?" I said yes and picked your tiny body in my arms and said "thank you for cuddling with me." You responded "you're welcome. You going to bed now?" I said yes and laid you down. Then I said "I love you." You said back "I love you mahmee."

The best moment.

First you told me you wanted to cuddle with just me on the big bed. Then we laid down and you just cuddled right up.

Then you sang "hey soul sister" to my belly and kissed it. Saying "I wanna cuddle with the baby". You are perfect to me. I'm so so happy to be your mahmee.

mahmee and daddy went shootin!

Uncle Wes has a cabin in the woods up at North Fork, and today we went with his buddy Josh, and Uncle Chris and shot some guns! Mahmee believes heavily in Gun Safety, so we made sure to eb super safe. i missed you, but shooting is something that only should be done after youre 18, and you gotta be safe!

im glad the little baby in my tummy hasnt grown hearing yet because it was loud! but here are some pictures of all of us shooting :] we had a great time, and once you are old enough and responsible enough, i look forward to taking you out.

by the way, Mahmee is an excellent shot. im serious :]

just some random notes.

today we went to see April and Justin and Juliet and Nonny Frascha, not before Uncle had to literally force your medicines into your mouth. you HATE it is and its a mighty struggle to get you to take it. youre smart too; you realized that i was bartering with you "ill give you bunny and bebo after you take your medicines" and so you started responding with the opposite "oh, i dont need them."

"we'll go into the living room once you take your medicines.." "oh, im just gonna go back to bed mahmee." youre too smart!

then before we got to their house we stopped at the coffee place. you said "mahmee! open my door too!" i knew you meant window so i rolled it down for you to see the barista Zack making drinks. you said to him quietly "i need, a chocolate milk for me, and a coffee for mahmee." all matter o factly. youre so precious to me!

you were a bit cranky today, and i think mahmee was too.

you werent treating Juliet like a lady, and we had a lot of talks about how we treat ladies.

We always share more with ladies, and sometimes we let them have the best cars....or we give them our juice, or we open the dors first for them to go into the bedroom to play.

its hard, but i know you have a loving heart, and you'll be the best gentleman ever. :]

That's the tentative due date of your baby brother or sister :)

I'm torn, because while we saw the heartbeat of this perfect being in my belly today, and I want to shout from the rooftops that my boy will be a brother, I'm so scared something will happen! We are praying to the good god above that your little will be okay.

For now...we pray and celebrate the heartbeat and you...because you're precious to us :)
